Football Season!

Summer Saving or Spending?

This summer I have taken a break from online shopping and spending...hence my break here on the blog. During the summer we pay for a pool membership and try and use it everyday...therefore, not spending money throughout the summer! All our money goes towards savings for the holidays and back to school spending. I still coupon (another post will be coming about that!) and grocery shop. I still read all the savings blogs but I don't jump on anything because want to save. But I find this is not the case with everyone! When it comes to the summer I find that a lot of people spend A LOT during the summer! Meals and ice cream out regularly, museums and movies, vacations and weekend trips. We do have fun with our kids and take them out more during the summer then normal but we always do it on "Kids Eat Free" nights or we use our budget wisely so we can treat every once in awhile. Like my coupon binder for groceries I also have a binder of coupons for eating out. This stays in the car so it's easier when we decide to go out to dinner randomly. So my main question is what is your summer like? Do you save all year long to spend all summer long? Or do you try and save more during the summer? I have 1 more month of summer with my kids...one more month of saving big time...afternoons at the pool with 10cent freezer pops! So no matter what you choose, remember it's summer and make some memories!!
